Sleep or breakfast? We confess: When asked this question every morning, the scales usually tilt toward ten more minutes in the comfort of a warm bed. The consequence is often a short stop at the bakery to fight the hunger pangs with a rather unhealthy baked good. A bad breakfast, from which the body can hardly scrape together the nutrients it needs for the new day!
The best remedy against such an emergency solution is a fixed recipe up your sleeve, which you can master in your sleep and implement without thinking in cases of acute lack of time. Our breakfast drink from the FLSK drinking bottle is such a treasure: healthy, balanced and mixed in seconds. There are extra vitamins in the carrot, which harmonizes perfectly with the other ingredients due to its natural sweetness. Put it in your hand and hit the road.
What youneed for 1 serving:
- 300 ml buttermilk or plant milk
- 2 tablespoons tender oat flakes
- ½ small carrot
- ½ mango
- 1 tbsp ground almonds
- 1 tsp. chia seeds
- 1/2 cooking oil, e.g. linseed oil
- a few squirts of lemon juice
- optional: 1 dash agave syrup or another sweetener
Here's how easy it is:
Wash or peel the carrot and cut it into small pieces. Remove the mango pulp from the peel.
Blend both with the other ingredients in a blender until smooth. Bottle and enjoy.
Tip: Those in a particular hurry can also do the chopping the day before. Simply store fruits and vegetables in a well-sealed bowl/can in the refrigerator. In summer, it is a good idea to store the pieces in the freezer. There they last a long time and give the breakfast drink a pleasant coolness.
