In the last few weeks, working from home offices has changed from a special solution to normality. The new way of working has changed most people's everyday life and therefore somehow their whole life.
A working week used to look like this: Monday was the start of the serious part of life. In order to cushion this, everyone discussed the weekend with their favourite colleague over a cup of coffee. Tuesday and Wednesday were full of meetings and customer appointments. Afterwards there always was that yoga course from the employer, to help you get down. On Thursday after work we had a drink with colleagues. And on Friday the last things were finished and then the weekend started full of plans or sweet idleness.
In a nutshell: at the weekend, people enjoyed a decent life, during the week they worked and in the evening they celebrated. That had structure!
These days many people no longer know which day of the week it is. In the home office the hours blur between the laptop at the kitchen table and ironing. The nice chat in the coffee kitchen is gone, as are the sports courses. And the end of the day? Comes and goes without a call for drinks.
Afterwork or the art of successfully finishing a working day
Sure, home office is great. But who knew we'd miss so much of our office routine? Since many of us will be working from remote for a long time, we need a solution for our beloved rituals. Our suggestion: Start by reviving the after-work drink. Nothing marks the transition from concentrated work to well-deserved leisure time more clearly. This also and particularly works in the home office.
We have a recipe for you that can be prepared in a few easy steps and is immediately ready for refreshment at your summer home office. Ranch Water comes from Texas, where it can get very hot. To cool down on the ranch and elsewhere, the Texans simply invented this version of vodka soda. Enjoy the sparkling and not so innocent Ranch "Water" alone, with your home office partner or with your colleagues online. Afterwards a yoga session will work even better.
This is what you need:
- 3 cl tequila
- Juice of ½ lime
- 4 cl sparkling mineral water
- ½ lime for decoration
- Ice cubes
It's that simple:
- Fill the tequila and freshly squeezed lime juice into a glass and stir well.
- Add ice cubes and fill the glass up with mineral water.
- Decorate the drink with slices or slices of lime as desired.
